About Pro Clean Car Wash
Pro Clean Car Wash is a self-service car wash in Marlborough, Massachusetts. It is listed at 22 Apex Dr, Marlborough, MA 01752, which places it among the local businesses of Marlborough that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
Car washes in the United States come in four main formats: the express tunnel, where you stay in the car while a conveyor pulls it through brushes or high-pressure jets; the full-service wash, where attendants vacuum and wipe down the interior after the tunnel; the self-service bay with a coin or card-operated pressure wand, foam brush and vacuums; and the hand wash, where a crew washes and dries the car by hand. Touchless tunnels skip the cloth brushes entirely and rely on chemicals and water pressure, which is gentler on paint but less effective on heavy grime. Most express chains sell an unlimited monthly plan, usually priced at two to three single washes, that is only worth it if you wash more than twice a month. Gas stations often bundle a discounted wash with a fill-up.

Marlborough is in Massachusetts, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Marlborough follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I have used this car wash maybe two or three times hoping that maybe it was just an issue with the machine since it’s been closed a few times but nope. It does not clean the car thoroughly and I use the soft touch. Also I swiped my card and paid for a super blue towel from the vending machine. And nothing came out. I called the number and spoke to a woman and she said that it would just fall off since they cancelled the transaction. This was last week. However the purchase still was processed from my credit card company. Although it’s just a dollar , the credibility and customer service lacks quality.

This place is a ripoff. The cheapest “economy” wash is $16 and it doesn’t even dry your car. Gotta pay $20 for that! What car wash, let alone a $16 car wash, doesn’t at least blow some air as you drive out? On top of that, it didn’t even clean the rear of my mid-size SUV properly. I’ll never be back.

So I decided to visit again after reading one of the reviews that said touch free is the left and center lanes and soft touch is the right lane. They were correct. It is convenient that since it is automated, they are always open. I came for a wash again after hitting the gym at Apex at night and used the touch free lane this time. The top 2 packages have the underbody wash, which will cost you $22 or $24. It does a decent job to get grime and dust off your car, so it is useful when you don't have the time to wash your car thoroughly by hand. After the wash, I pulled into a spot to use their vacuums only to see they charge separately for that, which seems ridiculous for it not to be included in the $20+ package prices. Also noticed there was still visible soap residue on the roof of my car, so that is not best.

The prices are high for an okay wash - the base wash is $12 and it doesn’t even dry your car… I’ve been to a $5 car wash that drys your car. The other wash’s don’t seem to be worth it, still leaves your car with some sort of layer of dirt. It’s clean and new, plus a convenient location.

UPDATE: I went here a few weeks ago and the wash actually made my car look worse. I looked everywhere for help but there was no one to be found. It was irresponsible of the owner to leave the car wash open with poor quality and no one to help. Original: I've only been here twice and both times I got the $20 version, and vacuumed the car. Both times my car was filthy going in and clean spotless coming out. The vacuum is the strongest I've used. The directions are idiot proof, and that's my kind of place.
